Last time, Jotaro got a chance to do his protagonist thing. This time, Cascada's going to show him how it's done. Let's rewind the clock to the end of Update 45.
Dio: Polnareff must be hiding somewhere... Hmph... Not that it matters. Jotaro... You're next... Jotaro: Bastard...! Dio: Oh... Coming closer, are we? You don't want to run...? Even after your grandfather tried so hard to warn you about The World's power... So desperate, like a student taking an exam with seconds left on the clock... Jotaro: If I don't get closer, I can't beat the living shit out of you. Dio: Well, now! In that case, get as close as you please!
Dio: !! Cascada:WOAH OH, MOTHERFUCKER!
Dio: Hm... You... You ambushed me from behind? You have more guts than I thought. Jotaro: The Machine!! Cascada: Run, Jotaro! We can't win against him even if we both have him cornered! Dio: You think I'll let him get away so easily? Jotaro:There's no way I'm running from this, The Machine! Cascada:Me neither! I have no idea why I said that!
On the whole here, you're probably better off aiming mainly at The World, since Jotaro's most effective at Short range. However, Cascada's biggest attacks are all multi-target, so it ends up not mattering.
Remember, OnFire does 3%+1 damage per turn.
There aren't any real gimmicks here; it's a slugfest. Dio and The World have 4000 HP apiece and he's got vampire regeneration. His knife attacks can inflict Bleed and The World's punches inflict BlowBack like Star Platinum's.
If you don't keep yourself above 400 HP or so, Dio is liable to stop time and just kill you outright with no recourse.
The status effects are already inflicted and Sun Laser costs a piddly 26 SP compared to Wave-Motion Gun's 100, so I start using it to save on turns spent chugging down curatives.
Losing my turn like this when trying to use the combo move suuuucks. Good thing the sync status stays until the combo actually gets used.

And here it is, the True Final Boss. Depending on the Stand you're using, this ranges from a cakewalk to quite difficult. Take a wild guess where Quicksilver is on the scale.
Vins:Stop... moving!! Cascada:I don't know how you expected this to go any differently.
Because you might have to do this fight with a pure support Stand, Vins is weak to several debilitating status effects. A single Wave-Motion Gun shuts her down completely.
Vins:I'll simply use my vampire abilities to regenerate... Cascada:You really never paid attention to what my Stand can do, this whole time? This is the FIRST thing I learned...
Alicia:It's disappearing! Cascada:Hey by the way who are you and how do you know my name!? Berlin: We're going back to our original time! Now you won't be the one to die at Cape York... Alicia! Live on! I'll always be watching you! Alicia: Berlin!!
Steel: That's my cue... This is goodbye for me as well... Thank you... Cascada... When we go back, we won't retain any memories of what happened in this world, but... my feelings for you... will be etched into my soul... Cascada:Steel... Main scenario: not as bad as it could have been! I think the staggering granularity of interactions is the real draw.
Remember, the original versions of this game are monochrome like the credits here. Making readable tilesets under that restriction seems tough as hell.
There are a ton of one-off unique sprites, plus the eight different sets for players. Always fun to see.
One of my big regrets for this Let's Play is not going to the work of sorting and placing music links like they used to do in the old days. But, if I had, I guarantee I would not have gotten this far.
Solid work on the English translation. There are multiple sources to compare against for the "main" dialogue, but the huge amount of original text is not to be underestimated.

Cascada: But now that I think of it, we've missed a LOT of classes... I wonder what's gonna happen to us... Jotaro: ...Seems like a strange thing to worry about after what we went through. Cascada: Hahaha... I guess so.
Jotaro: ............... Cascada: Can you at least try not to look like you're about to kill somebody? 💧 Schoolgirl B: Huh? Cascada? What are you doing with Jojo? Schoolgirl C: Yeah, yeah! If you're playing as a male character, the scene is pretty much exactly the same except this line, where Jotaro instead says, "We're buddies."
Jotaro: Home. Where else? I already finished the quiz. Cascada: Y-you're already done!? Jotaro:I can write WAY faster with Star Platinum. Cascada: ...H-hey... Can I see your answers? Jotaro: You wanna cheat? Sure. Cascada: W-when you put it THAT way...! 💧 ...Darn! Fine, I'll keep at it...
